Thanksgiving & Blessings Prayer

O God,
the beginning and the end of all things,
Who art always the same,
 and Whose years fail not,
we now, at the close of another year,
 kneel in adoration before Thee,
 and offer Thee
our deepest thanks for the fatherly care
with which Thou has watched over us during the past,
for the many times Thou hast protected us
from evils of soul and body,
 and for the numberless blessings,
both temporal and spiritual,
which Thou hast showered upon us.
May it please Thee
to accept the homage of our grateful hearts
which we offer Thee
in union with the infinite thanksgiving
 of Thy divine Son,
 our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who with Thee
liveth and reigneth forever and ever. Amen.

A Life of Gratitude

To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven. Johannes A. Gaertner To live a life of gratitude is to open our eyes to the countless ways in which we are supported by the world around us. Such a life provides less space for our suffering because our attention is more balanced. We are more often occupied with noticing what we are given, thanking those who have helped us, and repaying the world in some concrete way for what we are receiving. Gregg Krech Explore This Website

Thrive & Grow

In your heart, keep one still secret spot where dreams may go and be sheltered so they may thrive and grow.  Louise Driscoll   When you do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved, you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better. Pauline R. Kezer Explore This Website

Recognize The Possibilities

“Only if you’ve been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.”  Richard Nixon “You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.”   Thomas Merton Explore This Website
